May you live, and be content.
I hope you can hold on when you feel like quitting,
I hope you can keep fighting as you keep living.
I hope you can keep hoping and keep believing.
I hope you can accept losses,
and expect them, as you do wins.
I hope your days can mean more,
I hope your nights can be more peaceful,
and quieter, and warmer, and beautiful.
I hope you can give this life your all;
I hope you can dare to do
the things you always wanted to.
I hope you can chase your dreams,
relentlessly, and O', may you create!
I hope you can be bold enough to risk,
I hope you can fear nothing.
I hope you hold no grudge, and love all,
I hope you can forgive and forget easy.
I hope you can forgive yourself, too,
understand yourself, love yourself,
and learn patience, with first yourself.
I hope you can find some happiness,
find true love, and overcome sadness.
I hope you can allow yourself to cry
when you feel overwhelmed.
I hope you can expel, sometimes,
from your deepest and darkest pits,
and I hope you ever feel
no shame in whatever comes out.
And I hope, when you laugh,
you can laugh your heart out.
I hope you can live exhaustively.
I hope you can close your eyes,
each day, and be content
with sunrises and sunsets.
And, O', we are more
than we think and know—
I hope you can see that
(or at least, someday).
