My Love, My Friend

I will not displease you,
With so little in so much;
Accept my gratitude—
It is all my heart sings!

I have loved, and as much, I have lost,
But with you, I know no end and am home;
My anxieties quiet down, my hope anchors.
And by loving me, I love you and love life.

You are all I have,
When I have it all and when I have naught.
And I trust none, as I do you,
To say it will be and so it be.
