Quelling Storms of Emotions

The sky of emotions
Thunders with dark clouds.
A heavy heart fears
The coming storm,
The raging floods;
The end feels near.
A fragile mind breaks—
How human is to hurt!
The banks of perseverance
Roar with smashing chaos,
Nights rain in turns, in hails;
Things break in heavy storms.
I could build and rebuild,
I could dig deep, long trenches,
Make outlets to drain as it rains
And hide evidence of the storm.
