Candle of Faith

Faith in self has felt like a candle;
It burns not to strong winds.

I have been many things,
Resilient is one
But winds, and faith, and dwindles
Have always found a way;
A way to seed in me doubt.

I have been doing something;
Something that sparked
Raging fire within me
And I could not put it out
I am not sure I want to.

O’, my candle of faith,
I will let you burn too
To remind me of strength
At my weakest moments.
