With most beliefs influenced
At such a young age,
It became difficult
To hold on to anything
Meaningful, or anything.
It became a journey
Of seeking, and not finding,
Discovering, but not learning;
Parts from the past rooted
Deep in our minds—
They locked down reason
Stunted growth, within.
And yet,
Before it was time
To live out of it all,
We passed the same
To the next generation:
“Let them grow out
of the mess we couldn’t.”
